Duly noted. Will paint and install the VG's after the wings are painted.

I'm so upside down on this plane I'm going to have to fly the worth out of it for 50 years before I could sell it at a reasonable price and break even.

Control surfaces and wings are in Insignia White polytone. Will give them a couple days to dry, then masking off for the orange.
Sprayed the windshield trim with this high build primer that was basically like spraying bondo. Two coats gave me PLENTY of material to sand and smooth up the part. Second picture after second coat of aerothane.20200402_191355.jpeg20200404_161619.jpeg20200331_121812.jpeg20200401_123938.jpeg

Default Stewart Wingtip Install/ wing overhaul.

[QUOTE=JPerkins;123605]Fit the new windshield trim today. Start in the center and shrink or stretch the top web until it fits well. Then drill the screw hole and keep working to the ends. Will take glazing putty to fill in the roughness caused by the shrinker/stretcher jaws.
    Nice work!
TMTechnologies sells stimple dies for the Lancaster type shrinker stretcher...doesn’t leave the sharp cuts in the metal.

Got the orange on the wings. Later this week I will attempt my hand at pinstriping and outline the orange with a dark blue. Also plan on installing the vg's AMD lights before hanging the wings.20200412_140538.jpeg20200411_191527.jpeg

Tried my hand at pinstriping today. Luckily it was the top of the wings. Will be cheating with fine line tape on the bottoms. 20200413_174049.jpeg20200413_174044.jpeg

Over the last week; installed nav lights, landing lights and taxi lights. "Burned" the holes for all the screws. Installed the VG's. Made a new skylight and installed. And hung the wings!
Next steps will be check rigging of the wings. Install and rig control surfaces. Make new wing root fairings. Weigh the aircraft. And lastly get the ADS-b programmed.
So basically 90% done with 90% to go.20200414_184518.jpeg20200415_182306.jpeg20200416_185339.jpeg20200417_173012.jpeg20200417_131550.jpeg20200418_082908.jpeg20200418_123326.jpeg20200419_152907.jpeg20200419_121035.jpegIMG_20200419_195516_629.jpeg20200419_165409.jpeg
