Want to learn cloth repair

Had to go for a Test Flight to check the New Bungees . Had a spot that the tape had come off and I got all the materials to do a small seam repair on the landing gear. Flew a bit today and came back to this

I think I’m going to have to strip my gear now . I planned on using this area to learn , Is this repairable ?

wasnt clear if you had done a repair here already?

Issie I see is there is no green Stewart systems glue to be seen. Really. The gear gets the guts blasted out of it by the wash and the green glue is guarantied to hold that lateral tape.

it is repairable. Get out your AC43.-13 and read up...

Still have to add silver layers and sand and top coat but I tested this earlier today with 10 landings and around 80 miles of flight It’s solid and tight

Super important the fabric is drum tight, you know, so it doesn't drum when you are at DMS.

*DMS= down a mine shaft. Old Avaition term used in the twenties to denote an aircraft speed never attainable wile written in sales litature. Wish I could recall where I ran across the term.

I hope its tight enough Seems to be . Crazy how the fabric shrinks
