PA-20 Incident in Kansas

It was an unauthorized landing. The aircraft suffered engine failure and would not restart. The pilot set the plane down in an empty field. There was no injury to the pilot, aircraft, or the field. -Kansas State Highway Patrol
KANSAS CITY, Missouri — A single-engine aircraft suffered an engine failure and made a forced landing in a field near the Johnson County airport Saturday afternoon.
Just after 2:30 p.m. a 1951 Piper, piloted by Charles Blakely, age 57, of Ellijay, Georgia reported the plane suffered engine failure and would not restart.
He set the plane down in an empty field.
There was no injury to the pilot, aircraft or field SE New Century Airport or 2.3 miles south of I35.

He set it down with no damage to anything.....Great job done by the pilot!! He concentrated on doing that pilot thing we all were trained to do....two thumbs up to him!
