So my PA20 Parts Catalog (Univair part # 20PM) Figure 33 item 8 shows part number 40123-80 for 50, 51 and 52 Pacer. According to drawing 40123 in the SWPC Drawing CD the -80 cable is 77 1/8" long. The 1953 model PA20 uses a 40123-93 lower flap control cable that the drawing shows to be 84 1/16" long.

When I did the Bushmaster mod to my Pacer, the aileron and rudder cables needed to be longer, there were no details of the cable lengths. I set the control surfaces to neutral position. Then I made one end up and attached it. I set the turn buckle adjusted to as open as possible. I stretched the cable. Then measured for the other end attachment. If I was unsure I added a bar at one attachment end that could be shortened. Being able to match old cables is easier.
