Sub, look at YouTube for combinations of Tri-Pacer + mountain, camping, remote, airstrip, etc.
Ask you AOPA regional coordinator.
Check out https://theraf.org/ for ideas.
There are tons of great places to explore all over the country.
And it's great fun flying into Johnson Creek in a Tri-Pacer; the Supercub guys know we can carry in a lot of beer in a Tri-Pacer so you are never lonely.

I thought you lived in California, was I mistaken?
And do you have 700x600 tires on the mains, and 600x600 on the nose, or ???

Tri-Pacers make very good Backcountry airplanes.

The also make good front-country airplanes too, every bit as or more capable as a Cessna 172 of any vintage.

Glenn, my wife and I moved to Merritt Island Florida in the spring of 2018. I don’t have 700 x 6 tires on my Tri-Pacer now. I would put them on if flying to backcountry locations.
