    Default 0290D Piston Rings

    Looking for 4 sets of 0290D piston rings for steel barrel cylinders, standard bore.
    Only thing I have found so far is from Aircraft Specialties, ECI kit CC201 $255 per cylinder!
    Also Preferred Air parts has oil rings p/n 69401 only.
    Appreciate any thoughts on additional sources

    Found sets at Gibson, $183 per set. Still hoping to do better but at least they are available

    Irony... Continental bought ECI who made PMA replacement parts for Lycoming. According to Continental Motors (CMI) the CC201 is for chrome cylinders. You need the ST201 ring set. Unfortunately CMI sells only thru distribution to resellers and then to end users. Have your mechanic check price and availability on AVIALL.

    I'm in a similar situation. Looking for the top piston ring for chrome cylinders, qty 1. Looks like the part number is 62916 from the manual.
