Steve,
Looks like Chad is signed up now and Mike is bringing the Mystery Ship from MT today. Ya think it might need bigger tires????? Those 35s seem a little small. I don't think they will have enough time to put on Acme's.
The MOAC from Sulphur Springs looks pretty BAD.
Good luck to you and have fun.

Re: We're all friends here, right?
Looks like Y'all had a good time. I'm glad YOU were able to take the time to show him around. Yea he flies those Carbon Cubs pretty good. He has had lots of practice in the back country while flying and delivering them around the country.
Who but Chad would fly his Girlfriend Emily into the backcountry in a Carbon Cub and then propose to her

Did she have a choice?

Emily and Chad came in the hangar yesterday morning. Steve commented to them about your post. We all had a good laugh. What a delightful couple.

at7615, what is a Supercolt and how can I turn mine into a Supercolt? How fast is a Supercolt?

Re: We're all friends here, right?
Major change is a bigger engine, 0-290/0-320, not very fast 130MPH with right prop, rig is very important, rig to minimum diehedral and ailerons matched to ribs/no droop, remove every ounce of weight possible. Stewart tips when you recover wings. Get rid of any venturi, get rid of vacum sytem, lightest posible avionics. Clean and wax and keep clean and waxed. The best part is you can do same maneuvers as basic colt, which is same as 150 cessna, so for less glide ratio, you have lighter empty weight, way more useable weight, way more fuel and you can cruise with a 172 with ease and outclimb them! Get proficient at slipping to land, and 300' takeoff roll and climb like hell! Not a F-15 but hey, great fun airplanes!
