Default PA15 PA 17 Nose Cowl

    Hello All

I am in need of a new Nose Cowl for a vagabond, I cannot seam to find one on Univair. I think the PA11-PA18 95 Hp Part# U10802-000 is the closet thing.

    Any other thoughts?

I believe the Nose bowl for the PA-11 is the same for the PA-15/ 17, but I am sure Univair is proud of it.

There is a vent in the front which could easily be covered with a plate or Duct tape in the winter. For the summer month I do not see how it could hurt. Other than that look look very similar

Found PA-15/17 engine nose bowl Piper drawings # 11624 & 10803, on the PA-15/17 Drawing CD from Short Wing Piper Club.

My PA-17 nose bowl has the vent inlet Old Piper mentions. Have not seen over 180F with outside temps between 90 to 100F and do not have an oil cooler or oil filter, still have an oil screen. The C-85 has sheet metal ducting fabricated on the bottom of engine above intake tubes starting at this inlet.
