    Default Boot cowl windows

Curious if anyone has installed boot cowl windows on their experimental and what materials are required? I do not know what thickness of plexiglass is required and what material to use as a frame. Thanks!

Cutting out part of your boot cowl and riveting in thin polycarbonate is not a major alteration. I would back up the rivers with a wide washer. Anyone should be able to do this. The biggest issue is how you deal with the interior panel.

Here's a Champ and a Maule with bootcowl windows. This should send you on a merry chase for details of how it was done!

Actually the Maule has some drawings and details on the thread.
