Vagabond tailwheel
Finally getting back to my Vag project. I’m curious what the Vagabond operators out there have for tailwheels. I want to stick with a hard rubber tailwheel assembly but not the original Scott 3000-A1 (non-swivel).
Thx

Re: Vagabond tailwheel
I'm currently using an Aviation Products model 6131 tailwheel: http://apitailwheels.com/
These are available from ACS as a "homebuilders tailwheel, P/N 06-00403
I did need a 1 1/2" to 1 1/4" shim on the one I bought from ACS.
If you want my old (non-swiveling) tailwheel, you can have it for the shipping costs, as I don't need it:
Springs and chains included.

Re: Vagabond tailwheel
I put a lang on mine, seems to work well.
I have a 6" (solid tire) maule on the Pacer and it has worked well also, it is a little winder tire and doe not look as original or "vintage"

Re: Vagabond tailwheel
Thanks for the info and offer. I think I have found enough parts to get a Scott 2000 put together. They still make parts for it and it’s a full swivel. The Lang and hard rubber Maules are also good options.
