    Default To shrink or not?

After reading a recent thread that recommended a modified set of jaws for a metal shrinker, I began to think where I could use one.

Where the lower bowl attaches to the lower nose bowl, there is excess material between some of the screw holes. Would use of a shrinker between these points solve this and correct the radius or would it just bring the screw holes closer together?

Although reportedly easy to accomplish, I am reticent to build a whole new cowl.

    regards

    Dean

Only time I have had to shrink the lower cowl was when installing a fiberglass nose bowls that had the wrong angle on the attach lip. I would roll an edge on what you have pictured using a tool like this.https://www.aircraftspruce.com/catal...ryedgetool.php
