I am having trouble finding the overall length of the Brakelines from my brake cylinders to the hardline under the floor, PA-20 SN range 1-800 I think. Can anyone help me out?
Thank You
Bob

I made mine to connect to the solid line where it meets at the top of the landing gear. I kept the flex line loose under the belly fairing and strapped it to the tubbing.
"You can only tie the record for flying low."
Drawing 71061. PN 71061-4 is the flex line for the early PA20 with pilot side only brake pedals. 14 1/4” overall length.
Univair sells them, not cheap.

We used Stratoflex from the pedal to the gear leg on the Clipper. Stratoflex is a lot stiffer than the old low pressure hose and we got restriction/binding in the pedal until we made the longer flex hose so that it could move.
The end of the hose that goes into the master cylinder originally had a 1/4 NPT brass male fitting. On the master cylinder was a small weatherhead 45 degree adapter for the hose to clear the floorboard opening. Do you have a part number for a stratoflex/Parker 1/4” male brass fitting Like the one used on the univair hose?
Univair outsources the manufacturer of that custom fitting. We used standard AN fittings and made new hard lines up the gear legs although Summit does have an adapter fitting from Weatherhead to AN flare.
Actually I just looked and that Summit fitting is male instead of female. Not sure where I got this female adapter to pipe thread but probably a common fitting.

The stack up of all the adapters and larger stratoflex hose nut makes it almost impossible to fit hoses to dual brake shuttle valves. Finding a brass hose nipple equivalent to the one on the univair hose would allow for male nipples on both ends. No elbows or reducers.
Do you know of anyone who makes a 1/4” male Brass hose nipple that threads into stratoflex hose and hose nut? $120 x 4 and then cut them down to size for the dual brakes. Too much money and time

That is pipe thread, same on the Super Cub and a Scott master cylinder. Does the shuttle valve have the fitting machined into it or pipe threads with an adapter screwed in? Pictures of the shuttle valve? The Clipper just has single brakes.

I measured it and it is 1/8" NPTF (national pipe thread fine).
Cleaned up the old one off a 50 Pacer with 900 hours since new. It was date stamped 6/50 so I am prettly sure it is original. Checked it with a wrench and it actually swivels to relieve the stresses of twisting. All brass swedged on.
Other end that attaches to the hard aluminum line also swivels, brass...except Brass nut with 45 degree flare for weatherhead adapter.
So....what I need is a male 1/8" NPTF brass swivel removable hose fitting for 1/4" hose. No of any?
