I have been wondering the same thing about it and the other airplanes as well.

I went to the sale. It was just an "estate sale" not an auction. The Piper was priced at $5000 and sold almost immediately. The hanger was full of miscellaneous aviation parts, pieces, tools, motorcycle stuff and a plethora of "stuff". I got there an hour after it started and most usable stuff was already sold. For some reason, her home-made, wooden "box trailer" was moved outside and went mostly un-noticed. It had tons of aviation parts and pieces stored safely from the elements of the open hanger. All of it is in my garage now. I am a re-seller and an aviator, so I'm hoping to profit a little from the treasures I found. I go to a lot of sales but I could really feel the "spirit" of the person this thread is about. Attached is a photo of the Piper I took at the sale.

Curious what the plane sold for. I dream of such auctions!! After further review, I see someone had posted. Go to auctions early, bid often!!~
