    Default No engine data plate

    Can a lycoming engine with no data plate be used on an experimental. Building a wagabond have chance to get reasonable o235 has no data plate and no logs. Anyone deal with this before?

    Experimental is all that engine would be good for. That is not uncommon for people to remove the data plate from the engine for experimental use. I don't know why, but I have seen several over the years.
