I seem to remember us discussing the possibility of using the Colt fuel system drawing for the second tank on the Clipper but I don't remember the details.

Be careful we have real live mountains up here in the PNW, and cold snowy weather.
Enjoy the scenery and have a safe trip!

HA! Pierce is just trying to escape the cold snowy weather in Graham, and the Texas drivers not realising it takes a bit different technique than they're used to. Here's the spot forecast:

Steve, when you get a handle on it, let us know your route home--so we can stay out of the way

I love the view. I'll bet you were the only one looking out the window. A few years ago I started looking around the cabin, a lot of times I was the only one with my shade up with great views like these.

Well after over 2000 miles driven one way I made it home to Texas. Had a great time with Dan and Marjie Stewart. Got schooled on bending the tip bows for the Stewart wing tips and making the Bungee Buddy and was able to get all the tooling, fixtures etc. back to Texas on an awe inspiring drive with some fantastic scenery of this incredible country. Was amazing coming down the mountains from Provo by Price Canyon to see the sun coming and the silhouette of the mountains, 2 below outside air temp and a fabulous view out of the windshield. The deserts of Utah are amazing when they are snow covered as well. A great trip, now time to rest up and get to work.

The tip bow bender in it's new home under the wing of my Super Cub. Gotta bolt it to the floor, to quote Dan "you will chase that thing all over the hangar if you don't bolt it down while trying to bend the bows."

Just one of Dan's many toys/projects.

Steve, do you need to apply for PMA now to make the parts for the wing tip STC?

Sounds like you had a great trip!

Dan gave up the PMAs cause he didn't want to deal with the paperwork etc. What he has been doing is selling a bent piece of conduit for the customer to make his tip bows out of.

The STC transfers should not be a problem... Getting a PMA is the PITA.. took us a year and have to deal with constant FAA audits yearly.. Quarterly paperwork requirements, tracking etc.... I do not blame the Stewart’s dropping the PMA parts and going paperwork only... Their STC’s are easily tailored to go that route... wish I could say the same for mine...
