    Default PA 20/22 Landing Gear

Convert your TriPacer to a PA 22/20. Univair gear purchased new for my 22/20 never damaged and in good condition. 1 1/2" axel, reinforced to withstand stronger side loads. Includes Long Step and mounting brackets. Current price at Univair is $1660 each side.

Asking $1000 for pair. Plus $100 for shipping.

I was going to send you a PM about your gear, wondering if you’re going to sell them....
Will these fit on a standard pacer, mines a ‘52 with narrow gear presently. It has the 1 1/4” axle and I’m unsure if I could just change bearings to fit the 1 1/2” axle or would I need new Cleaveland wheels?

    Any input would be great.....

I don't know if changing the bearings for your wheels to fit 1 1/2" axels works or if you need to get new wheels. Good question, maybe Airframes or Univair people would know.

There are bearing to adapt an 1.5" wheel to an 1.25" axle but not to adapt an 1.25" wheel up to an 1.5" axle. That bearing would get awful thin.

Changing from narrow gear to wide gear takes a couple more things than just the gear legs, you need to change your shock chords (possibly the hydrosorbs as well depending on part number) and the tailwheel perch angle changes.

I thought only the 50 model had the single bungee hydrosorb.

I may be wrong, but I thought all the narrow gear did. Have to look at the drawings again.

According to the parts catalog, the 50 and 51 model uses the single bungee on the hydrosorb.
