I heard from another pa22 owner a decade ago == from Piper $300
It was important to him to have a POH with his specific N number.
His looked like a copy with an ORIGINAL DUPLICATE stamp in red ink. His N number was printed on it.

My airplane flight manual from Piper is approximately 5 pages plus several supplements -
winterization kit, door removal, auto gas STC...
It has specific N number identification, CAA approval, engine limits, speeds, flight load limits, placards,
original weight and balance and revised weight and balance.

This was for my PA-22-150 serial number: 22-6748. They delivered it to me bound in a nice folder. Here, I will paste the old email..

    Bill,
The printed publications I have for this 1959 Tri-Pacer are as follows:
    Airplane Flight Manual REPORT 817
    Winterization Supplement VB-790
    Owner's Handbook 753-526
These items should be considered mandatory for your aircraft.
The AFM is $150.00 and comes with the supplement.
The Owner's Handbook is $25.00 and contains a wealth of information about the aircraft.

These items are all in printed form as they are required to be in the cockpit at all times.

If you would like to order these items, please let me know and I will provide the ordering instructions.

    Regards,
    Douglas Gough

    later...
    Sir,
The manual will ship out tomorrow. I am including an extra Owner's Handbook at no cost. I have also sent a records request to that department and if they have anything on microfilm on this aircraft, they will include it.
Tracking information and paid invoice to be emailed to you by end of day tomorrow.

I thought this to be a great deal giving me piece of mind and fresh paper that wont dry rot for another 50 years. So it is good for people that actually have the original but are afraid to breath on it.

Yes, the old W/B and all. For mine it is the base publication for my AC where I add my new W/B and the door removal along with other STC's like Ski's...rocket launcher?
I did have a few pages of the original, they were plastered with mechanics corrections and math scribbling's. They looked bad and incomplete.

Mine look pretty rough. Someone spilled pink fluid [hydraulic fluid?] on the papers long ago and there are some scribbled notes as well.
Did Piper provide a nice binder?
