Just don't stick the soldering iron in too far when doing the flaps and ailerons. You get an extra drain hole for inverted flying.

I usually burn a hole with a soldering iron through two layers of fabric but if the customers wants seaplane grommets I cut and install a fabric doily over them because just gluing them on the fabric is just asking for them to pop off a few years later. You have to get the weave running the right direction for them to lay down good.

I peeled them off and used a little acetone to get the glue off. It looks much better and did not hurt the stewarts systems covering or paint at all.
