    Default Flap gap seals

I have a 53 pacer that does not have flap gap seals. I have a parts tripacer that does. Can I put them on the Pacer or does it require an STC?

The better question is why does the 53 Pacer not have flap gap seals? No you do not need an STC for something that belongs on the airplane originally! PA-20 S/N 934 and up drawing number 12538. All Pacers had flap gap seals!

I was lazy and did not install my flap gap seals for several years after a Pacer rebuilt. When I finally got around and installed the gap seals, the difference was suttle but there was a slight improvement. The full flap with gap seals help with a lower approach speed.

When I did the stretched Pacer stc I added aileron gap seals (I'm sure it was in the stc plans, somewhere......prove me wrong.). But, I could not determine any significant difference.

I am pretty sure the aileron gap seal is in the same paragraph with the Cato prop but I could be wrong.
