    Default Broken Pacer gear

So, This happed to a friend of mine today.
A bit of a hard landing, but not THAT bad.
Anyway, it should not have broken since the hydrosorb was undamaged. It looks like it may have started cracking a while ago. Probably an area worth inspecting carefully when you change bungee cords.

I wonder how similar the Clipper is to that, where is the weak link in the 16?

I'm not very familiar with the clipper gear. This really should not be a weak point on the Pacer gear.

Clipper doesn’t have hydrosorbs. The bungees attach directly to the gear leg, not the hydrosorb. Weak link on the Clipper gear is the aft tube in the V.

Univair sells that upper hydra-sorb part separately or the complete assembly for a little over $1K

Thanks Brian. I have a few spares.
For that price, I think I'd weld one up or repair this one.

Mostly just posted as a heads up for other to inspect this area when doing new bungees.
