    Default Sad looking Pacer

Landed at Sheridan, WY on my way from Winchester, VA to McCall, ID and noticed this sad looking Pacer. Wonder what happened to it.

It looks like Red Green and the boys from the Possum Lodge have been helping with repairs.

Looks like the fabric failed behind the windshield strip.

Steve, that is probably it. And then a hard landing. I’m glad I added the reinforcement when I put the new windshield in this year.

Also, looks like it needs new bungee's.

"...needs new bungee's..." Yeah, I noticed that, too -- what's he got there, something like 3" of prop-to-pavement clearance??

Could use some nitrogen/air in the tires...

If it’s sit long enough for the tires to go flat and the bungees to go that bad then the engine isn’t very likely to be any good either. All three tires are flat… the one in the sun looks rotted at the bottom to me.

The tires being flat and the landing gear spread like that can also be the result of a hard landing after the fabric separated and peeled back. I didn't do a close inspection while I was there.
