Converting to PA 16 style sticks is a huge deal. I did it many years ago and doubt the FAA would approve it now. I mounted the control system forward of the hydrasorb. Now I have the PA 18 gear it could be mounted the same as the PA 16.

I wonder if it might be easier to get the FAA to approve an STC installing PA 16 sticks in a Pacer if it had the PA 18 gear. The main difference would be aileron pulleys. The battery would also need to be moved.

I did the battery move on my PA-16, with a Sutton exhaust, battery can go forward of the firewall.

Did you run your aileron cables up the struts, or just route them via pulleys internal?
