The 4001shows out stock at Spruce until July1, 4004 is in stock. Anyone know the difference? Mags are on their way back from Aircraft Magneto Service, I would hate to wait until July to get all the fresh parts on.
Twenty some years ago when I made the Slick Application manual, Lycoming had a SI that covered the “optional” ignition wiring. About 2006 it was added to the operators manual and the SI was dropped.
As it has been a few years, I would guess that the only difference is the routing of top and bottom leads per the attached drawings from the operators manuals.
