Same here, great folks. Aircraft Magneto Service answered my question and were able to repair my mag. QAA was like a huge corporation. Couldn't speak with anyone who knew about magnetos and just a flat rate overhaul.

As is AWI (Aerospace Welding). Currently dealing with a similar situation with them. Will give a report when my parts are no longer being held hostage.

I didn't realize that. I thought it was Nico or Knisely or some other exhaust place that bought them. Hard to keep track of.

Yep, big money. I like dealing with the Mom and Pop businesses. Seem to get better service and product.

I talked to him about my mags before making the decision. He was short with me (maybe a bad day?) Plus the cost was $975-$1200 per mag. I got the impression he was super busy (probably was) and basically "send me the mags, if not, someone else will". It didnt sound like he cared.
I talked to Kelly and QAA. Both were helpful and interested in my business. Not to mention up to $800 less in cost. I like giving my money to private mom n pop businesses as well, even if it costs more. But $800 bucks is hard to ignore.
