    Default PA22 Flap spring install

    I am renovating a PA22 in Thailand.
    I don't know how to install the flap springs (U14384-000). The old ones were broken.
    The wing is already covered with fabric.
    All pictures I find show the spring and bellcrank before wing is covered with fabric.

    Is there a trick or a tool to preload the spring before connecting it to the flap bellcrank ?

    It will not be easy for sure. Maybe a length a safety wire wrapped around it and some kind of stick to pull or pry it into place. I foresee a lot of bad words being spoken.
