    Default Cleveland 30-21 Brake calipers

I couldn't find anything in the forums, has anyone installed the Cleveland dual puck 30-21 calipers instead of the 30-41B called out in the Univar 22/20 tailwheel conversion?

What is the 30-21 caliper off of? It would need to be compatible with your brake disc and torque plate plus some sort of approval.

If you have a set of wheels, brakes, calipers etc and they fit and will work I would seek a way of getting those approved. AC23-27. https://www.faa.gov/documentlibrary/...r/ac_23-27.pdf

Thanks. I was assuming I would have to go that route but hopefully someone else already had. Once approved I can post for others to use.

The Cleveland application guide shows it going to Cessna 180. I have 1 1/2" gear and when I purchased it was told it will work on that gear. Hope I didn't put the cart before the horse on this one.....

It was common to put Cessna wheels and brakes on Super Cubs with adapters for the 1.25 to 1.5" axle difference. Atlee Doge then started making gear with 1.5" axles. I would think it would be an easy approval. The C180 is way heavier. Just prove the fit and function.

Should be an easy Field Approval orDER approval.
