What else?
A lot of folks have another machine as well as/instead of a Shortwing.
We have a 172D, (should be flying early next year with luck), a 185 in bits requiring a lot of work and the Fletcher a work machine. As well as the PA22-20.

I'll agree with the never enough. The Fletcher is our AG aircraft, don't do any spraying in it only solids work. Flown most AG stuff in my career from the Pawnee through to 502's and Radial and Turbine Thrush.

Wish I could afford the gas to have one as a sport plane. Nothing like a radial engined bi-plane.
Never flown an AG Cat would love to, they say their a great handling Aircraft if your not in a hurry. Used to watch some when I did some rice work in the early eighties, they only had Jac's and were very slow. Have been doing a bit in a 985 Stearman lately, good fun.

Lee and I in the Stearman.

Re: What else?
I keep thinking that with the right mods, one plane can be enough. My goals are under 150' T.O. and landing roll, 120mph cruise at 7 gph and 1000 lbs useful load.

Re: What else?
I guess I will have to use the "C" word for the other plane. It is a 1964 C205 (actaully 210-5A) that has been upgraded with an IO 550 instead of the IO 470 it was born with. Now it climbs like a homesick angel and if it will fit in it, it will carry it. Great cross country plane and stable IFR platform. Running LOP it only burns 11 - 13 gph to get 135 - 140 kts airspeed.

Re: What else?
Well Wayne, my other is a "C" also, but it is same year as my PA-22/20

Re: What else?
My "other" airplane is definitely has short wings, but it's not a Piper.
