Default Rear D window frame for pa22

Looking to replace the frame, has anybody tried the wag-aero frame? I have read piper used the j3 frame and cut it down. Univair as we all know is a little pricey
    Thank you Greg

I used a modified J3 frame on my Pacer.

Merged your thread with another on the subject. Prices have changed I am sure but part numbers and other advice still relevant.

Thanks Steve, I was wondering why I hadnít received many replies, I thought I had read something regarding using a different piper window channel. As always thank you for keeping an eye out and helping me, I will add the 1Ē piece of metal as well.

Just so that I clearly understand this modification [intended for a 62 Piper Colt] per the original post, I will need two left side J3 window frames, to be cut and welded to fit?

Yes, the left window on a J3 is longer than the right because of the slide up window vs the flip up window and door. The right side is not long enough to make a D window for a Short Wing correctly. Here is a Clipper D window overlayed on a right PA11/J3 window.
