I would try :
http://keystoneinstruments.com/
https://www.airpartsoflockhaven.com/
Both in Lockhaven, PA.
I think 30 ohm wire wound 5 watt resister would suffice.

Checked with both Keystone and Air Parts, no stock at either. I found one on Ebay but I don't like getting stuff off of there because you just never know if it works.
I have the riginal gages if you still need them, one is good, maybe both, cant
remember forsure, I replaced them years ago with the Mitchel gas gages
If i can't find the resistors / Adapters I may have to try and go the Mitchell route or something similar. PA-16 I sent you a PM
Editing this: I found some of the PN 451-850 Adapter / resistor at Preferred Air Parts https://www.preferredairparts.com . Only problem is they have a $20 minimum and the parts were only about $3 each so I had to find something else to add to the order. They had quite a few if anyone needs one.

Received my New Old Stock, official Piper parts. If anyone ever doubted these were built with surplus car parts.

Look at the parts list on the Piper drawings. Lots car part manufacturers.
I searched "AC 1517287" and found this, "Big-Props-Aviation...Your Ebay source for Aircraft parts!!"

Qty 4 pcs NOS in boxes, $19.95!

If anyone is interested the AC part number for the Fuel Gauge AC 1517602. I couldn't get a response from Keystone about turn around for overhaul of my gauge. Wolf said they could do it in 2 weeks but cost could range up to $200. I ended up buying one from Wentworth Aircraft for $50 including shipping. They said if it doesn't work let them know and they would exchange it as they have "lots". Let you know how it goes.
No No No! You cant use those, YOU HAVE TO HAVE AN STC and pay 10 times more than that or the plane is dangerous and will fall out of the sky
