Stainless or Galvanized cables
Is there any advantage for one over the other for aileron cables?

Re: Stainless or Galvanized cables
I use stainless since they are more rust resistant. If I remember correctly, the galvanized are a bit stronger.

Re: Stainless or Galvanized cables
Galvanized are stronger and more flexible. Use SS only in a marine environment. Like living on an island in the Pacific Ocean.

Re: Stainless or Galvanized cables
Stainless cables are required for float installation per our TC and also in AC43.13
SS cables wear faster and or more subject to fatuge failure.
Galvi cables have hidden failure potential in any marine environmen.

My A&P's advice as well: go galvanized. (Not much ocean frontage in NH....)
