Re: Super 20 Flies
Yes, it was Joe. Interesting, he bought a Pacer to fly while his SC is being rebuilt. He pointed out several times how much he is enjoying the Pacer.
Also, a group of us including Joe went into Yellow Pine for dinner the small grocery store is closed along with the next door restaurant and for sale. The corner restaurant was very good. Lots of places for sale in the town, if you're looking.

I suppose there is no new movement towards certification, yet?

I really doubt this stc will be marketable and worth the engineering. But, I hope I'm wrong. It would be a sweet improvement.

Re: Super 20 Flies
Steve, was there ever a separate thread about the slotted wing on Cathy's TriPacer?

Re: Super 20 Flies
What would be an improvement would be split flaps. This will increase visibility when landing.

I might have ordered a set to play with... Will see how they pan out.

Re: Super 20 Flies
I'd like to try a standard wing leading edge that has a drooping and slight extension function combined with 40 degree flaps and 20 degree drooping ailerons. The drooping leading edge would cause a pitching up moment, and the flap extension would cause a pitching down moment.....hopefully canceling each other out or requiring minimal trim, with the ability to approach much slower.

A friend has this combination on his J3. I can't imagine how this could get approved. The only draw back is loss of aileron control. Another friend has flaperons on his Murphy Rebel. He rarely used more than 10 degrees flaps due to the loss of aileron control.
