Have you contacted SkyBound at 770-242-6263? I was able to get most everything I needed from them a while back. A friend of mine has a set for sale that are either not ever used or are almost new. He has set on his airplane and does not need them.

I doubt I will ever have a use for this Bodell part. I only have the one.

The STC contains all the pertinent data. I have seen people list all kinds of things on a 337 but it is just repetition in my opinion.

I work on a lot of Carbon Cubs and they all have Grove brakes. They are on bigger tires than 26". You might check with Grove about that. I know the Bushwheel STC just calls out Heavy Duty brakes. They do have different size brake calipers. Not sue what their STC includes.

I'm going to ask a very generic/rookie question but a bit up in the air on who/how you pick which STC to convert drums to disc brakes. I have been eyeing the Trimmers STC with the ABI LLC wheels, then Steve's uses Cleavlands from a 120 - 182, there is Univairs, Williams etc... I'm fighting a drum brake issue hanging up thought we fixed it went through the season no issues then when it got cold started having problems found it was rubbing on the brake shoe lining, spaced it out and believe it's fixed but also know that I have a warped drum or so it feels. I'm tired of messing with it and have my GF training in the plane so I want to upgrade for safety. What is your process for selecting a specific STC? Price or ???? Any guidance will be appreciated. I have PM'd a couple of you already but before I spend the $$$$ I thought I'd ask. THanks

I would consider price and availability. Can you find wheels and brakes called out in the STCs? What size tires do you plan on using. The kit Univair sells doesn't work well with bigger tires. The ABI wheels used on the Trimmer STC work well with any size tire.

Price wise I think the Trimmer/ABI come out to be the better deal. One thing I have been hung up with is having all of the wheels match as the plane is a very clean classic so will have either paint the front to match or vice-versa but like the covers on the stock wheels not not sure I can put the covers on the ABI's. I know it sounds picky but it's something I'll have to figure out. At this time I'm running 600-6.

You can buy the 6" three screw hub caps from Spruce or Univair and paint to match.
