    Default wider cabin

Can anyone tell me if any year tri-pacer has a wider cabin. I know that in 1967 cessna made the 150 wider. I went for a demo ride in a 52' tri-pacer today and it was a little tight. If I planned on being by myself all the time it wouldn't be so bad, but my wife and I are about the same size so I would like a little more room. I really don't want ( and can't afford) to buy anything else. I can always loose some of my backside if need be. Thanks for any input!!!!

Later model fuselages had wider sheet metal which makes it wider between the window and the door. I will measure a few tomorrow and give you the skinny. Also if you have a 55 or later they have split seats so you can have one forward and one back which gives a little more shoulder room.

Thanks, the shoulders is where I have the most issues. I will keep my eye out for a later model.

55 or later ? My 55 tripe 150 has a bench seat. I'd LOVE to have a split front seat. maybe mine's an early 55 ?

I might be wrong on the year. Probably better to tell by serial number.

Thanks, this was the first time on the bench seat. Was a little uncomfortable because the owner was shorter than me and I was trying to keep my feet off the pedals.

Ok I know Im a little late to the party
    But
Id really like to know what you found while you were measuring.

I have to admit that you casually have access to a FEW both impresses and leaves me jealous!

I tried to take a 350# passenger once. I'm 170. First challenge was the seat belt. Forget the shoulder harness. I had to turn my shoulders sideways. On climb out the door popped open. That helped. My tripe makes my VW bug seem roomy.
