Momentary switch (the large flat one) from my tactical shotgun flashlight. Pot the silicone switch into the recess with Proseal or Flamemaster fuel tank sealant. Attach the strain relief, aka clamp to the ram mount.

Not sure how big your hands are but having it in the center would be more like honking a car horn. Having it on the outboard side of the yoke is very convenient since your hand is always going to be there.

Others have it mounted by the throttle and I could see that being convenient for the same reason....At least during takeoff and landing. Would also make the installation easiest but having ours in the yoke is worth the effort.

    On top of the STICK.

I am sorry guys and gals, I couldn’t resist saying the obvious for those of us fortunate enough to have a stick.

That sounds more appropriate for a dating site? Well.. wink, wink, big enough.

I should have said that it is the long rectangular portion. Not sure what the center raised square is for as I just got it for Christmas.

Did a little research into "rectangular tactile momentary switch". Mouser electronics have over 12,500 styles that should fit and could be glued or potted into the recess without the need to drill into the data plate or yoke.

Simple bracket to make out of 0.032 aluminum and a small momentary push button switch.
Ran the wires under the wrap around the yoke to the bottom and back side then coiled cord to panel.
Took too much time to get the pix oriented correctly, but got there.

I like this idea, but would only wrap the part on the sides of the yolk where my hands typically go. Not over the top because I just don't like that part of the grip being fat and in my line of vision to instruments. Next project.

Found a part number for the click bond stud. CB5000 CRA 3-8. Also found a aviation based supplier. No minimum orders, no hazmat charge for epoxy in packets.
