    I see now that the OP’S PA-20 is not referenced by SB 349 so the drawing measurment is the controlling data.

    A simple hack is to measure the thickness of a washer plus the engine mount flat-face before assembling.
    Then calculate that value plus 1.84 = X for "outside the washers" measurement.
    This is a lot easier than trying to measure the inside faces of the washers when the bolts are tight.

    I usually get 1.84" at 40" lbs and the castle nut and drilled bolt properly align. I just check the 1.84" now, made a gauge and it is simple. Shown in post 33.
