Not necessary with sticks, the Clippers and Vags don't have them. The stick is curved just right to let you rest your arm on your leg in cruise.

I am looking for one also. I looked at Bob Drake's site, but could not tell if those would fit. Form the drawings, it looks like I need one with 5.5 inch centers on the holes. The bolts go in on a slant from the bottom. Does anyone remember which car they came from, or have one laying around? Thanks to all of you who regularly post.
    Thanks,
    Sid

    Sid,

The armrests from Bob Drake are for a 1948-1950 Ford Pickup. The part number is 8C-8124141 and has two mounting holes that are at an angle under the armrest and are perfectly spaced at 5.5 inches. They are only sold in a kit of two, So I have an extra one if you would like it. $25 you pay shipping. fifty from Drake new. Can supply pictures and drawings from Bob Drake if you need.

    Chuck,
Sounds like a good deal to me. I would like to look at the pictures and drawings. My email is sidbrain@cox.net. Thanks for thinking of me.

I removed mine. It stopped me from sliding the seat forward enough to remove the seat and access the battery. Been flying without it since, but it's in my hanger and will be put back in eventually.

Added one about a year ago and it's great. Before my arm rested on the bottom of the window which was a little high. The armrest is just the right place and it doesn't seem to be in the way any other time.
