    Default Spring Connector Clips

Just had my Scott 3200 tailwheel overhauled during my annual. I was looking at the spring connector clips and they seem to be a little worn where they pass through the steering horns. I have only heard them called "spring connector clips", but can't find any. The only ones I see online are part of a kit that has the springs, chains and connectors. First, is this the correct name for them? Secondly, anyone know of a supplier? and finally, what about replacing them with a "better" style of connector, say a quick link chain connector. It looks like some of the tailwheels I see have the quick links on them already. Thanks for the help - Dwain

I use these AN42 eyebolts on the steering arms.

You can get these links from Alaskan Bushwheel.

Yep, I've been digging. Steve, mounted up I am assuming? Drilled or undrilled, tight or able to rotate???

Mine had them but one was broken off in the high temp nuts they used to attach them!

    Steve,

Would you be able to post a picture of your assembly with that eye bolt?

    Heftiger,

They go on the arms of the Scott tiller and you hook the springs to them. I don't have a picture of mine assembled, I took it apart to clean it and one of the eyebolts broke off at the cotter pin hole. If someone else (Steve?) doesn't post a picture, I'll post one when I get it back together.

PS, hold on to your wallet when you go to buy 'em, AN42B-7 go for about $6.50 a PIECE.

AN42B-7 drilled or undrilled, doesn't turn much if any. https://www.aircraftspruce.com/catal...boltsan42b.php

We have the drilled eye bolt since it technically spins. We leave it fairly loose so it can spin.
