    Yes, I use clear with black letters on my off white panel.

    I have http://www.aerographics.com/ cut my placard lettering out of vinyl and after I apply I spray a flattened clear coat over it.

    I know how you feel Jim, that is a customer's airplane. I get paid to do that for other people. That is why mine looks like this.

    I had the local avionics shop install a Univair panel on the left side as well as a GMA 342 audio panel GNS 430 GPS, MK 12D nav/com and GTX 327 transponder with a new digital encoder. It also has a Uvionics SkyBeacon for ADS-B out and a fresh IFR cert.
