Does anyone know how wide the instrument panel is on the tripacer? I'm not near my airplane and am going to pick up some aluminum to make a new panel. Was going to go with .040" thick 4'x4' sheet to start. Wondering if 2' x 4' would be enough? Or 4' x 6'? Thanks

The blank panel that I bought from the Cub Dr. is 39"x12". I had Clyde make this panel a little taller than the original PACER Panel, but I used the Original size Pacer panel that he made for me.
I highly suggest that you have him make one for you as a blank or with holes and radio stack in it. I have built a few of my own panels and the Pacer is a tough one to make without the correct tools. If the Tri Pacer is close to the same as a Pacer no way would I do it for the price Clyde charges.

    My homemade Starduster Too Panel

He supplied the blank and I did the rest.

Clyde made my panel from a drawing I made and it came out great.

I’ve looked at the cub doctor panels. Looks like a great panel. The top panel I am replacing is just a flat piece of aluminum. I just need to cut the holes where I’d like them. Fortunately for me, I own a hobby Cnc machine and so I can cut them out and make it look nice.

I've had a couple of people requesting pictures. Here she is, 1956 PA-22-150. The plane is pretty solid and in surprisingly good shape. The paint is another matter. The covering is pretty good, the paint has faded away in spots , but appears to be only cosmetic. The panel is good and interior is about 75%. I still love it and it's a blast to fly. Definitely not a C****a but I think that's part of what I like about it. Great little plane.

You can't see the paint when you are flying it. That is what I say about my Super Cub.
