    Forrest,
If you haven't bought to one from Spruce, I may have that very one. I'll give it to you.

I have one as well. Didn't like the thick aluminum base oposed to the thin steel one Piper used.

    Forrest,
The pitot is made of 3/16" copper tubing, brazed to an 1 1/4" X.032 Steel doughnut. I built a little wooden fixture to align the mounting holes. Pitot Tube Assy. P/N 11582 on the PA-15/17 CD. The tube sticks out 3" from the steel plate.
I suspect that one that is longer is looking at different dynamic pressure because of boundary layer effects, giving you an ASi error.

11582 is the one the 125 uses. That drawing isn't on the PA-22 disc.

You are right, it is on the Vagabond CD, Doesn't Forrest have a 125?

It looked something like that....to tell the truth, I can't really remember exactly what was there, the piece that broke off is long gone.

On my PA-22/20 project the Pitot tube seems to have gone missing. It is a 1961 Colt originally so I believe it would have had the single pitot tube and not the pitot / static together. What I need is a source for the tubing, preferably a suggestion for diameter and thickness and especially the mounting plate. I can feel the mount inside the wing but not exactly where the mounts holes are. When the wing was recovered the holes got covered up. I can make one easily enough as I understand it is copper tube with a steel disk but some pictures would be nice and a drawing number or drawing would be great.

Univair has the correct pitot tube as called out by model and serial number in the parts catalog.
