    Default Brake Cylinder Access

I have searched the forum, but I can’t find anything on suggestions for easy ways to remove the plug accessing the brake cylinder. I have a 57-160 tripacer. It’s under the seat but all the framework makes getting a wrench or socket in there difficult. I was able to get my crescent in but I marredIMG_3078.jpg the bolt in the process. Anyway, I know rookie question but if anyone has suggestions or knows a thread discussing this please point me to it!

Pic is a beautiful sunset I snapped doing T&G the other night testing the breaks. We are so blessed to be able to fly! Can’t see the sunset any other way in East Texas due to the pine trees! Happy Thanksgiving

Box end wrench from behind the gear truss. Pretty easy once you’ve done it a few times.

I think I need to invest in a set to keep at the hanger. Got a feeling that will come end hand. Thank you!

One more brake question. Have they come up with a diaphragm that doesn’t have to be replaced yet? Maybe reinforced with unicorn mane? I have yet to have mine “pop” but I have a feeling it will soon as I have never replaced it. A benefit of landing on a 5500 ft field I assume.

There are a couple brake booster STCs. Best to discuss with your IA about what is best for you.

You da man Steve! Do I have to do both? Or can I just do the cylinder?

    Default Brake Cylinder Access

Are the “high pressure brake lines” a major install or as simple as unscrewing an old set and screwing in the new ones? Also, where do I get pads and shoes for the drum brakes? Mine are stopping well but I have never replaced them. I used to not know how to properly bleed the system using the parking brake until recently so the handle would go to the dash. Made for crappy stopping power but man my brake components have lasted forever! Haha

Can buy individually... I recommend the master cylinder first...

The Univair ones are direct replacement lines...

Also Univair for the linings... https://www.univair.com/tires-wheels...ng-and-rivets/
