I had mine done by Johnson last year. 59 —> 56. It now works great. Higher static RPM, better climb and faster top speed. The higher pitch was bogging it down, like being in too high of a gear, so it couldn’t make enough RPM at altitude.
Evan R has his at 56 as well. Seems to be the sweet spot for 150HP Pacers.

Re: Prop Shops in Southern California
Drove up to Shafter yesterday and arrived at 8:30 . They Immediately started on my prop and while I was there they tested the balance . Looked Great . They told me the guy that checks tracking wasn’t there yet and I should go grab breakfast .
They called about 45 minutes later and said the tracking was good and it was a 58 pitch . I was happy with that and gave them the 100 dollars they asked for and grabbed my prop and headed south .
Who gives same day service like that ?? Excellent Shop
