    To Homer's point:
    A Navy Chief came off a flight and told me to "change the variometer". I did just that.
    The next day they flew again. He came back and said the system didn't work. " didn't you check it out and trouble shoot it?" " no, you didn't tell me check it and trouble shoot it, you told me to change the the variometer ( a six hour job) so I did."
    from then on it was " trouble shoot the system and fix it" from him.

    I am having display problems with my Narco MK12D and would like to do what you suggested. I'm not sure when you posted your post but did everything work out OK for you and are you still happy with the display you bought from DigiKey.

    I'm not Homer, but I bought a display for our MK 12 D from DigiKey and I'm very happy with it.
