Greetings,

I am in the process of refreshing the cabin heater as my passengers are getting tired of red hot feet.
With regard to the cabin inlet plate (powerplant diagram part number 11745), does anyone has a picture of a "working" one please?
This is the plate that sits on the cabin side of the firewall on the other side of the cabin heater box.
I say working, as mine is hinged so that a flat covers the hole through the firewall. This cover is just free to flat open and is not controlled by the cabin heater selector.
The Clipper diagram does not show a hinged flap but what looks like a flat plate with kind of "handle" on it.

Can anyone provide some clarity please?

regards

I have seen a block off plate that is attached to one of the heater box attach screws and the block off plate rotates around that screw. We always covered it up in the summer and roated up in fall.

Covered mine up too but still having too much heat in the cabin. Hinged plate is working and is closed. Put a fitted piece of "insulation" taped with heat tape on the cabin side. Then put a larger circular piece (about 6" in diameter) on the cabin side on top of all that. Still getting too much warm air into the cabin. Is there anything else I can do?
