This is a pdf version of the Dakota Cub slotted wing presentation presented at the SWP.org forum at Oshkosh. When I figure out how to post the individual pictures I will post them that way.

I THINK MARK QUOTED THE PRICING FOR NEW PA18 WINGS WITH SLOTS AT $16,000 TO $20,000 A PAIR DEPENDING ON TANKS, LIGHTS, ETC. THEY ARE DEFINITELY NICE BUT AT THAT PRICE VG'S ARE LOOKING PRETTY GOOD.

MP

But if Mark meets his goal of the Slotted Wing Pacer performing as good a stock winged Super Cub you will be money ahead with an airplane with a lot more room. Not in my budget at the moment but I still like to dream.

That is too cool! Maybe an experimental job for my next project. Guess I better get this one done first. Would be nice if it wasn't 106 F in my garage right now.

Rex, I have a killer tip to mitigate the heat in your garage...it works like a charm for me.
If its 106 in my shop, I just make sure its 108 in my house...going out to the shop then becomes a relief

Who is going to be selling these? Will they be available through Dakota, or somone else? Will 'custom' variants be available (e.g. a little longer)? Who should I contact for more information about pricing and availablility?

Thanks

Dakota Cub will be selling these wings after they go through certification. They will be as certified in the above pdf unless flight testing proves something needs to be changed. The engineering on legthening the wing anymore would require a lot more changes (strut angle etc.) to get certified. I will update this thread once the project flies. The Super 18 is going through certification right now so the Pacer wing is next.

I couldn’t find the other thread for these wings. Did they end up working on getting approval for them?
Cost of certification exceeded the expected return on investment.
