Insulation for firewall pad

I need to make a firewall pad for my project. I have the sewing machines and vinyl, and Ive been looking for some kind of foil backed fiberglass to sew to the back. I ran across a listing on the internet for 1/4 in fiberglass with aluminum on one side and a a white nylon on the other side that sorta looks like whats on the old airtex firewall pad I have but it comes in 4 ft x 125 rolls only. What have you guys found for a firewall pad? thanks

Here is a link to Wag Aero's website that shows the firewall pad that I used on my PA-22/20. The p/n is M-618-100. The price is $21 per linear foot.

I used the same thing as 54Pacer and really like the final product.

You can get 1" double foil fiberglass reinforced from airtex or save yourself the trouble and just but one of their premade pads. I used their insulation to compleatly insulate my cabin. Warm, toastly and quiet.

The antique car parts places have some good material as well. Can't remember the brand name.

Steve are you refering to Dynamat and its clones?

This was a foil backed fireproof fabric type material. Was not very expensive.
