Looking for prebuy Kansas City

Friend of mine is looking to buy a 1955 PA-22/20 based at Basehor, KS. Wondering if anyone in the area would be up for performing a prebuy.

I put out some feelers recently in the same area and came up empty handed, hopefully someone here knows someone. I am curious about that left door, no extra structure like the Day & Night and Trimmer STCs.

Engine overhauled in 1976, oil pump AD and one piece carburetor venturi are done. Slick mags. Looks like they painted it during the airframe rebuild.

Yeah I’d be interested in seeing the logs too. That door, and if SB819 has been done being the two major things. Very clean looking, but we all know that can be deceiving. I already told the guy to make sure that whoever does the prebuy looks inside the engine. Looks like there’s been long periods of sitting.

Taken from the factory direct to Fairbanks, Alaska. Immediately went on skis. Febuary of 1956 they took all the duraclad finish off and retaped and doped. 237.6 hrs the first year.
Interesting history and I am only on page 2.

Serviceable wing installed in 1976 and airplane recovered. I would make sure that is the correct wing and no the earlier one with one less rib.
Service Bulletin 819 performed in 1986.
Says installed vertical door hinges In Accordance With STC 2257CE. Not sure what that is but right door has hinges like the back door or a Maule.
Looks like original struts.

Didn't find anything on the door and can't find that STC on the hinges.
