Im trying to square up some overlooked paperwork. Trying to locate the installation instructions and drawings for Madras Drooped Wing Tips. Installation Instructions 104, and Drawings MAS-104, MAS-104-1. Im trying to get a previously installed 337 for it and I need these documents.

Spoke with a gentlemen from Madras Municipal Airport and he informed me the company and STC holder is long gone. This appears to be my only option.. I hate the droops to begin with but I don't want to do a ton of work, just want to fly. If anyone has them that would be awesome!

Hi Trip,
I'll look through my paperwork this weekend and see if I have what you need.

I am intrested in the paperwork as well, would like to see the differences of Madras and Plane Boosters

Thanks, after giving a quick overview, and seeing the affects drawing on the last page, reminded me of the whole lift/drag/excess power relationship. I have Plane Booster not Demer tips, but both work off same principle of reducing induced drag, and when you do that you decrease the rearward component of lift and increase the vertical component of lift, effectively creating a lighter airplane which in turn climbs better because of more excess thrust or power. Thanks for reminding me why I like having my droop tips! :) I have a lighter airplane than a stock bow tip wing.

Since this is a thread on wing tips and reducing induced drag, induced drag is quite interesting to study.

"Herein lies the key to flight. The fact that most lift is the result of the airflow's downwash from above the wing, must be thoroughly understood in order to continue further in the study of flight." chapter 17 AC 61-21A http://avstop.com/ac/flighttrainghandbook/
