I currently own a PA-20-135. The plane has a metalized fuselage with fabric wings and fabric empennage.
I am looking for a reputable shop specializing in restoring vintage aircraft.
Here is what I am looking at doing:
I am looking for a reputable shop specializing in restoring vintage aircraft.
Here is what I am looking at doing:
- Recovering of wings, empennage, and Landing Gear struts.
- Stripping of remaining paint from metal fuselage (most of the plane is stripped but the underside still has quite a bit of old paint.
- Replacement of the old and loud rotating belly beacon with some sort of LED solution with a white strobe (I think McFarlane makes one for the PA-20-135)
- Replacement of the wing position lights with LED and if possible strobes. I'm not sure if they make a combo like this.
- Repainting and color scheme…especially with a shiny metalized fuselage and fabric wings, tail, and landing gear. The shop needs to have experience in this as well
- Interior refurbish…upgrade…(not the panel) just the seats, floor, yokes, etc.
- My wish list, but not necessary but figure this would be the best time to do these:
- Wing extensions Mod
- VG’s
