Re: More on Lycoming Engine Mount Bushings.
Jim, do you have the drawings cd? When I did mine a couple months back I looked on there to verify the correct part #.

Re: More on Lycoming Engine Mount Bushings.
Our six PA22's from 1955 (O-320 no dash) to 1960 (O-320-something wide deck) all use the one in the center.
From Aircraft Spruce online:
60883: Lycoming O235 C1B & O290D, 7/8" dia mounting hole
71032: Lycoming O235, O320, O360 models, 1" dia mounting hole We order these and the center bushing in you photos arrives.
The outer ones in your photo look to me like a larger bolt hole, is that correct?

Glen,
Thank you so much. The bolt holes are the same size , just the way the picture was taken.
I wanted to confirm that the P/N 60883 was the correct one for the 290s. Also since I can't find where the P/N 71032 is the correct one for the (O-320 no dash) is the correct one. I assume since it is listed for the O-320-A2A it would also be correct for the O-320 no dash.
Thanks so much,
Jim
Jason,
Thank you also. I do not have the CD for the 7GC Champion with the 290. But yes I have the one for the Pacer.
Just trying to pick the brains of you guys that have the 290s in your planes.

Re: More on Lycoming Engine Mount Bushings.
Jim,
The Illustrated parts catalog I have for the O-290 D series says that the 71032 Is the correct part number. These are what I had ordered for replacement before I decided to swap In The O320-A2A which also uses the 71032 bushings.

Re: More on Lycoming Engine Mount Bushings.
As I understand it, the size of the bolts are all the same, it's the size of the hole bored into the mounting flange that differs. The 290 has a 7/8" bore, for the 60883 bushing, and the 320 has a 1" bore for the 71032 bushing. I went and measured my very early 320- no dash (sn# 478 ) and it has a 1" bore for the 71032 bushing which matches what my parts manual says.
That's my .02

This is what is confusing me. Everything I have read and as Pacerfjoe stated the P/N 60883 are the ones for the O-290Ds.
Pacerfjoe glad your parts manual indicates that the 71032 is the correct one for the O-320(no dash) because that is what I used for our O-320(no dash)
Now that I'm at Son's house we will find out tomorrow while at the airport if we have the correct ones/60883 for the O-290-D2B.
Thanks Guys
Jim

Re: More on Lycoming Engine Mount Bushings.
According to the most recent O-290 parts catalog it takes the same 71032 bushings as the O-320.

Re: More on Lycoming Engine Mount Bushings.
I use the 71032 bushings in my O-290D2. we just turn down the shoulder to 7/8" dia.
I like that little extra support area the shoulder gives vs. the taper only bushings.
